Tuotetarina
Kalavapriikin tuotteet valmistetaan perinteitä kunnioittaen mutta nykyteknologiaa hyödyntäen. Tuotanto- ja tuotekehitystiimien ammattitaito on hioutunut vuosien kokemuksen myötä. Henkilöstö on opetellut prosessin itse alusta pitäen. Kaikki alkukäsittely eli kalan leikkaaminen tehdään käsin. Kalat savustetaan laatusertifioidulla leppälastulla ja loimutetaan tulella. Suolaamisessa ei käytetä mitään lisäaineita. Tuotteet valmistetaan tarkkojen prosessien mukaisesti vahvalla ammattitaidolla. Näin tuotteet saavat aidon maun.
Tuotekehitystä ohjaavat perusperiaatteet ovat maksimaalinen tuote ja maku. Kalavapriikin tuotteiden kehitysprosessi on ollut pitkä ja tarkka. Inspiraatiota on haettu maailmalta erilaisista tapahtumista sekä ravintolarajapinnasta. Prosessiin osallistuvat sekä Kalavapriikin oma huippujoukkue että asiakkaat.
Kaiken kaikkiaan Kalavapriikin tuotekehitys on asiakasohjautuvaa; sitä tehdään mitä asiakkaat haluavat. Siksi tuotteita voidaan myös varioida asiakkaiden tarpeiden ja mieltymysten mukaan esimerkiksi suolaisuutta ja savuisuutta säätelemällä.
Tiettyjen tuotteiden, “kunniatuotteiden” reseptit on lyöty lukkoon, eikä niiden ulkonäköä, makua tai rakennetta muuteta. Muuten tuotekehityksessään Kalavapriikki reagoi asiakkailta, omalta henkilöstöltä sekä sesongeista tuleviin impulsseihin. Uusia tuotteita tulee valikoimiin vuosittain useita. Lähitulevaisuudessa tullaan lanseeraamaan myös kokonaan uusia tuoteperheitä.
